The proposed development of a ship lift facility has been awarded major project status by the Northern Territory government.
NSW: $1.3 million proposal for noise wall near Warringah Freeway
The New South Wales government is proposing to build a new noise wall between Metcalfe Street and Warringah Freeway. Work is expected to start in July next year if approved.
SA: SA government $5.17 million mining investment
The South Australian government is offering $5.17 million to 48 companies to support the discovery of new mineral deposits. The State government has committed a further $10 million a year to the scheme until the end of June 2017.

The Northern Territory government has announced new reforms to help local businesses increase their share of government contracts.
SA: SA government program to promote global mining investment
The South Australian government has launched a new program to support local companies to tap into more than $250 billion worth of global mining projects.
TAS: $1.5 million Tasmanian port upgrade
The Tasmanian government in conjunction with TasPorts is delivering $1.5 million worth of upgrades for Port Burnie to accommodate for larger ships. This new infrastructure will allow cruise ships of up to 315 metres in length to berth at the port.
