VIC: Shepherds Bridge construction begins
The Victorian government has announced the beginning of construction on the Shepherds Bridge upgrade. Works are expected for completion by mid-2017.
WA: $10 million Broome Chinatown upgrade
The Western Australian government has announced a $10 million investment to upgrade Chinatown in Broome. Minister for Regional Development and Lands, Terry Redman, said the upgrades would help local tourism.
QLD: Flinders Highway business case underway
The Queensland government has committed $450,000 to begin detailed planning to upgrade the Flinders Highway. Main Roads and Road Safety, Mark Bailey, said the funding would be allocated in the upcoming budget.
WA: $20.58 million Goldfields region investment
The Western Australian government has dedicated $20.58 million worth of investment to fund three new projects. Minster for Regional Development, Terry Redman, said the funding would greatly benefit the region.
NT: Northern Territory $92 million May infrastructure spending
The Northern Territory government has awarded $92 million in infrastructure project contracts this May. Over $15 million derived from the Boosting Our Economy package.
WA: Warren Health Service stage one complete
Stage one of the new Warren Health Service in Manjimup is now complete following months of construction. The hospital is due for completion mid-2018.
